Tucked against the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains, Rancho Santa Margarita is mostly homes built in the 1980s and 1990s, many of them two-story tract houses and townhomes. Being this far inland, it runs hotter in summer than coastal south county, and the foothill location brings wind, dust and occasional wildfire smoke. Plenty of the original AC systems from the city's build-out are now near or past the age when replacement starts to make sense.
Now that Sky Clean Air serves Orange County, Rancho Santa Margarita homes get the same crew and standards we've kept in San Diego since 2018. We clean ducts and dryer vents, repair and replace AC and furnaces, add attic insulation and set up better air filtration for smoky or windy days. We'll also do a whole-home HVAC check during duct or dryer vent visits, so you know where your system stands before summer.
What We See in Rancho Santa Margarita Homes
- Foothill wind and wildfire smoke make good air filtration valuable.
- Many original 1980s–90s AC systems are due for a hard look.
- Upstairs rooms in two-story homes often run several degrees warmer.
