Where we got our start

In 2018, Nadi Offer and Daniel Lezmy rented one van, loaded it with duct-cleaning equipment and started taking calls around San Diego. Nearly 15 vehicles later, ductwork is still the job we know best. It's also how most of our customers first meet us.

Your ducts carry every bit of air your heating and cooling system moves. When they're dirty, leaking or crushed somewhere in the attic, you feel it in the rooms: dust that comes back two days after you clean, a bedroom that never cools down, a smell when the system kicks on. The fix depends on which of those problems you actually have, and that's what this page is here to sort out.

Which duct service do you need?

Start with what you're noticing. A tech will confirm it on site, but this gets you close.

  • Dust, pet hair, remodel debris or a stale smell. That's buildup inside the ducts. Air duct cleaning removes it from the supply runs, returns and registers.
  • A musty, smoky or sour odor that cleaning alone didn't fix. Duct sanitizing is a treatment applied after cleaning to go after odor and microbial growth on duct surfaces.
  • Weak airflow in some rooms, hot and cold spots, rising bills. Usually a physical problem: a disconnected run, a crushed flex duct, torn insulation. That calls for air duct repair, and often duct sealing on the joints.
  • Ducts that are brittle, poorly routed or failing throughout. Past a certain point, patching stops making sense and air duct replacement is the honest answer.

If you can't tell, that's normal. Plenty of homes have a little of everything. A ductwork inspection gives you a clear picture before you spend money on the wrong thing.

Why ducts in this region take a beating

Southern California is easy on people and hard on ductwork. Most homes here run ducts and the air handler through the attic, where summer heat bakes flex duct and dries out tape. Inland valleys like El Cajon, Santee, Escondido and Mission Viejo get that heat hardest. Near the coast, salt air works on metal parts and the marine layer adds moisture that dust sticks to. Santa Ana winds and wildfire smoke push fine particles into every gap in the house.

Age matters too. The 1950s–70s homes in Clairemont, North Park and Point Loma, and the 1970s–90s tract homes across Irvine and south Orange County, are often still running original or decades-old ducts.

Air Ducts: Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between duct cleaning and duct sanitizing?

Cleaning physically removes dust and debris from inside the ducts. Sanitizing is a treatment applied afterward to address odors and microbial growth on the duct surfaces. Most homes only need cleaning. Sanitizing makes sense when there's a smell, moisture history or pest activity.

Can cleaning fix weak airflow?

Sometimes, if heavy buildup is choking a run. More often, weak airflow in one or two rooms comes from a leak, disconnect or crushed section. That's a repair job, and cleaning won't solve it.

Do you work on commercial ductwork?

Yes. We service offices, retail spaces and other commercial buildings. See our commercial services for details.

Do you serve Orange County?

Yes. We've recently expanded into Orange County, from San Clemente up to Brea, in addition to all of San Diego County.

How soon can someone come out?

Same-day or next-day appointments are often available, depending on the week. Call and we'll give you the earliest window we have.

How often should I have my ducts cleaned?

For most homes, every few years is plenty. Sooner makes sense if you have pets, someone in the house has allergies, you've just finished a remodel, or you moved into a home with an unknown history.

How long does it take?

Most single-family homes take a few hours. Larger homes, two-story systems or tight attic access can take longer. Your tech will give you a time estimate during the walk-through.

How do I know if it's my ducts or my AC?

If the whole house is warm, it's more likely the equipment. If certain rooms are the problem and others are fine, the ducts are a strong suspect. We check both on the visit.

Can you repair ducts the same day?

Often, yes. Reconnections, sealing and replacing a damaged section are usually handled on the spot. Larger jobs or tough attic access may need a second visit.

Is the sanitizer safe for kids and pets?

The products we use are meant for this application and are safe when applied as directed. We may ask people and pets to stay out of the treated area for a short time during and after application, and your tech will tell you when it's fine to go back in.

Will sanitizing get rid of mold?

It can reduce mold spores and the odor they produce on duct surfaces. If there's active mold growth caused by an ongoing moisture problem, the moisture has to be fixed first, or it will come back. We'll tell you if that's what we're seeing.
