Santee is an inland East County city along the San Diego River, and it gets hot. Summer afternoons regularly run well above the coast, so AC works hard here. Much of the housing dates from the 1970s through the 1990s, with some newer builds in Sky Ranch and elsewhere. Many homes are now on their second AC system and still running original ductwork through hot attics.
In Santee, most of our calls start with cooling. We repair and install AC and heating systems, clean ducts and dryer vents, add attic insulation and help with air filtration. For homes with older ducts and attics, we'll look at the whole picture, because a new AC won't cool well if the ducts are leaking and the attic is baking.
What We See in Santee Homes
- Hot inland summers make AC and attic insulation top priorities.
- Original 1970s–90s ductwork often leaks into hot attics.
- Santa Ana winds bring dust and smoke into East County homes.
