La Palma is one of the smallest cities in Orange County by area, and it was mostly built out in the late 1960s and 70s after starting life as a dairy town. That means a lot of similar single-family homes of about the same age, many on their second or third furnace and AC but still using the original ductwork. After 50 years, those ducts tend to carry a lot of settled dust, and some joints have pulled loose.
Since Sky Clean Air expanded into Orange County, La Palma homes get the same crew and standards we've built in San Diego since 2018. We clean ducts and dryer vents, repair and replace heating and cooling equipment, and add attic insulation. The first cold night of the season usually sends a summer's worth of dust through the vents, so fall is a sensible time to have the ducts and furnace looked at.
What We See in La Palma Homes
- Many late-1960s and 70s homes still use their original ducts.
- Loose duct joints in the attic waste heat and pull in dust.
- Fall is a good time to check the furnace before regular use.
